I don't personally care either, I've never had an account. But regardless of any of our personal opinions, it does have a tremendous impact on culture and politics. Which is stupid as hell, and terrifying. But it's reality.

Is charging for a newspaper some kind of assault on free speech? Things cost money, that's not a violation of anyone's rights.

@redmondogden8920 Netflix has enough fumes to keep afloat for a while, just because of their name recognition. But they're not doing great. It's only a matter of time before Hulu or someone else takes over, and Netflix goes the way of Blockbuster.

@dustinsindledecker154 you only have to pay to be verified. Is having a little blue check really that valuable to you? It's mostly for businesses, so when KFC tweets something you know it's actually KFC, and not Popeyes using a fake KFC account. Which makes sense. And $8 a month really isn't anything for a business, especially not a major chain. As far as just random nobody's on the internet, who cares about being verified?

That's why the left is losing their shit, it's your most effective propaganda tool. They're only charging a fee for verified accounts, right? I don't really care personally, because I've never had an account and don't plan on it now. But from what I understand it's still gonna be free for any user. You just have to pay if you care about having a lil blue checky. Correct me if I'm wrong, I really don't know for sure.
