Public schools aren't a free market, they're public funded. That's what the "public" part means. Which also means the public has a say in what their kids are being taught, in the schools they pay for. Taking a book off school curriculum isn't the same as banning it.

@améliehester6996 the risk/reward here is pretty clear. The risk is absolutely nothing, nobody will even notice that you're gone. The reward is exponentially higher than that, countless people are going to have a lower quality of life just from a brief interaction with you. So yes, it's settled.

Doesn't mean people on the far right aren't bad, and don't have horrible ideas, but the cult devotion is not even comparable, not by a long shot.

@hughmiller6389 the books were taken out of schools specially because they're bigoted, because the entire leftist worldview is built on bigotry. Kids shouldn't be taught to be against each other because of their race, that's horrible. If you want to raise your leftist kids into your cult, that's fine, I can't stop you, but they shouldn't be taught your horrific, hateful cult in public schools.
