Comments by "Mark Zuckergecko" (@markzuckergecko621) on "Texas BANS Water Breaks For Workers In Extreme Heat | The Kyle Kulinski Show" video.
@avinashtyagi2 they're still required to give breaks according to other labor laws, I may be off on the numbers, but I believe 6 or more hours requires a 30 minute break, and 8 or more requires an hour. But these are unpaid breaks. This law stated that employees must get a 10 minute paid break every 4 hours. This doesn't mean companies can't still allow that, they're just not required by law, and it absolutely does not mean they're not allowed to drink water, that's ridiculous.
3
The bill just rolled back laws that require employees to get a 10 minute break every 4 hours. That doesn't mean they can't drink water, and it's not a "ban" on anything, it just gives employers the right to make their own policy regarding short breaks. More fake news by Kyle.
1
Yep, more fake news on the Kyle Kulinski channel. Shocker.
1
@patchwurk6652 you do understand that you can drink water without taking a 10 minute paid break, right?
1
@purplepotatoes9255 so if you need a break, ask for a break. Construction work is always in demand, if you don't like your working conditions, leave. If you're good at what you do, you have a lot of other options.
1
@jgg6932 you don't have to leave the work site for 10 minutes to drink water, they still have all the opportunity they need to stay hydrated. It's not like they're banning water, stop clutching your pearls.
1
@jgg6932 and you can still take breaks, companies just aren't required by law to give you a 10 minute paid break.
1
Yep, Kyle knows his channel is bullshit, and he just keeps peddling bullshit. Because most of his audience is too stupid to know any better.
1
And you don't need a 10 minute paid break to stay hydrated.
1
Yea I skimmed over an article about it, this is absolute dishonest reporting by Kyle, like usual. Nothing was "banned", they just rolled back the law that requires employers to give a 10 minute break every 4 hours. Workers can still drink water, and they can even still take breaks, according to company policy. They're just not using the state to force employers to give paid breaks.
1
If every leftist in America stopped working tomorrow, nothing of value would be lost.
1
Construction work isn't easy, that's why it pays better than pretty much any other job you can get with comparable requirements.
1
They repealed a law that requires a 10 minute break every 4 hours. This isn't a new law, this is getting rid of an old law.
1
The workers can still drink water, they just repealed a law that requires a 10 minute paid break every 4 hours. They can still take breaks, it's just up to employers, and they're not required to give paid breaks anymore.
1
@PRODFOD they didn't take away paid breaks, they took away a requirement for unpaid breaks.
1
@ferrykeizer4911 taking a 10 minute paid break is not a basic human right, it's a luxury.
1
@GrandRezero they can still drink water, on the clock. You don't need to go sit down for 10 minutes just to drink water. And if you really feel like you need to, if you're getting overheated, no foreman would deny you a drink and a sit if you ask for it. There's no need to require mandatory paid breaks.
1
@jedahn there probably aren't any, North Korea is our leftist future if we let you monsters gain cultural dominance.
1
@jingbot1071 I've lived and worked in Texas all my life, I'm aware of what heat can do, and labor laws. If you want a break you can still take a break, all repealing this law means is that employers aren't required by law to give mandatory paid breaks.
1
@JaneFleesTexas good point, maybe we should crack down on illegal immigration. More jobs for tax paying Americans.
1
@jingbot1071 the incentive to give breaks is already there, more people want to work for companies that treat their employees well. You lefties should like this, because it will hurt businesses that don't allow as many breaks.
1
@jingbot1071 companies want to pay whatever keeps them ahead of the competition. It's hilarious how you think you're for the working class, when leftist policies consistently hurt the working class.
1
@Ichabod_Jericho do you really think there are people working outdoors in Texas summers, not even allowed to drink water? Goddamn you people are completely insane, I mean that in the most clinical and literal sense possible too. If you hold these distorted views, contrary to absolutely everything you observe in the world around you, you're actually mentally ill. Go see a doctor.
1
@jackeagleeye3453 prove it.
1
@lukacherriman5266 well someone decided the break wasn't necessary, that's why they changed the law. Is that so hard to understand?
1
We can start a GoFundMe, I'm sure regular people would like for you to leave just as much as you want to leave.
