  1. Those numbers can always be a little misleading, because people like to do the ole bait and switch of conflating "independent party" with "independents". When they reference the number of independents, all that means is that they're not registered to a party. And most of those people always, or almost always either vote democrat or republican, they're just not officially registered as either. I'm not registered as a Republican, so I'm technically an independent, but I've never voted for a democrat in my life, aside from a guy named Sam Houston in my local elections. Come on, his name was Sam Houston. I had to.

  2. Ok, so stop pushing for socialized policies that would put more money in the hands of politicians. Derp derp. You want money out of politics, that means we have to keep more of our own money, and that also means you have to be responsible for yourself. But you don't get to say the government should have more oversight to take care of you and then also complain about money being too involved in politics.
