Because the overarching theme of leftism is to give free handouts to the most useless people in society, on the dime of useful people who actually contribute to society.

This is the peak of leftist selfishness, it's not someone else's problem if you made a poor investment in yourself.

@emilymynarski6122 difference is the government forced businesses to shut down, illegally I might add. Nobody forced you to go to college and get a degree you couldn't even figure out how to put to use.
1
@Andrew-cs1td this doesn't help anyone, it directly harms people who paid their own debt and did things the right way, and it indirectly harms the entire country through inflation. And it's not like any of these leftist fuckups are actually going to improve their lives, they're just going to pay off their debt and then continue to be worthless losers that contribute nothing of value to society.

Because making money appear out of thin air always causes inflation. It's the most common and obvious cause of inflation. My blue heeler even understands this, and she knows less about economics than my neighbors German Shepard.

Of course it will.

Right, because it's someone else's problem when you make a stupid financial decision.

@traru4 right, so let's just go ahead and make it worse. What could go wrong?
1
@traru4 "I'm already fat, I guess I should just go ahead and eat 37 cheeseburgers." This is your argument right now.
1
@traru4 no, more accurately your argument is that I should be forced to pay for your 37 cheeseburgers, even though I'm not a nihilist that's eating myself to death. And you wonder why nobody takes leftists seriously.
1
@traru4 because your question is irrelevant, just because things are bad isn't a reason to make it worse.
1
@traru4 does it matter? Just waving a magic wand and giving away free money is not good for the economy, just look at the after effects of covid. This is just going to make it worse, just because you have more money doesn't mean you're better off, if prices continue to rise then your actual buying power will be the same at best, and far less at worst, and more likely. The only people who won't be negatively effected by this are people who are so rich the effects are negligible in proportion to their wealth. And that's the point. The elites at the top know that leftists are stupid, and will support policies that actually hurt them.
