Why do you think big tech pretended to be on the left's side? They knew leftists are the only people who are stupid enough to support suppressing their opposition, because anyone with an IQ above 20 can figure out that if you let them suppress one group of people, there's nothing stopping them from suppressing your group.

A lot of people on the left disengaged with politics once the bad evil orange man was gone. There are a whole lot of people who never cared before the media was telling them to panic, and now they don't care when the media isn't telling them to panic.

We tried to warn you lefties that they would try to silence you too. And I know 100% of you weren't all aboard with censoring conservatives, but damn near 100% of you were on board with censoring conservatives.

@CaBdosdos nobody has to listen to him, he was just giving his opinion. You don't know what words mean, do you?
2
@CaBdosdos so you would be ok with a phone company disconnecting you because of private texts or calls?
2
@CaBdosdos he wasn't attempting to suppress anyone, was just voicing disapproval. He doesn't wield any power over them, hell if anything it probably just got a bunch of upside down brained leftists with TDS to start using them.

@johnnyb7628 I agree, it's too bad the majority of the left couldn't get on board with that years ago, when this all could have been prevented. All the talk about the legality of the issue and nobody on the left wanted to address the ethics, which it's pretty clearly very unethical. But there would have never been public support for big tech becoming the ministry of truth if the left had stood on principle instead of tribalism. And I'm not saying this was you, but there's no denying this was an almost exclusively left wing sentiment, and even the few on the left that knew it was wrong didn't speak up enough, or loud enough.

@StormCrownSr you're accidentally proving me right by focusing on who was being censored instead of the underlying principle that nobody should be censored just for their political views.
1
@StormCrownSr what in the hell is your tiny little brain grinding to a halt over?
1
@StormCrownSr wtf does atheism have to do with anything? My god you weirdos make no sense.
1
@CaBdosdos right, but Trump saying screw Goodyear is totally the same as big tech welding their power to push a specific agenda. Totally the same thing. Try again.
1
@CaBdosdos if they want to police the content on their platforms, then they're not a platform, they're a publisher. And they should not have special protection under the law from defamation suits, as it stands now. You would be able to understand this concept if you didn't have the intelligence of a turtle with a head injury. Or you're just a liar, at least one of those is true.
1
@CaBdosdos yes, news organizations are publishers, and if they publish false and defamatory information about someone, they can be sued. They settle out of court in these kind of cases all the time, it's just not reported on much because well.... They're not going to report on their own lawsuits. The same should apply to tech outlets if they choose to police what's allowed to be said on their media. Again, this is not a difficult concept.
1
Are you saying it's only a problem because it's effecting left wing people?
1
@johnnyb7628 fair enough. The way you worded it just made it seem like it only just became a problem.
1
Exactly this. I still think it's horrible out of principle but I'm not gonna shed a single tear for all the people who asked for this without realizing what they were asking for. We tried to tell them.
1
@Chadronius same thing, influence leads to more money. Should really make lefties stop and think about what kind of policies and rhetoric Google supports.
