But you can also make the argument that you can just ignore or block someone's Twitter account or any other social media if you don't want to hear what they have to say, the same as you can block or ignore their calls. I get that it's not the exact same thing, but the main issue is controlling what people are allowed to hear, not controlling how many people you want to hear you. Everyone who's on social media knows that the whole world could potentially hear their opinions, that part is a given.

The corruption isn't a bug, it's a feature. It's up to YOU and you alone to decide what you believe to be true. Nobody can do it for you, and the second you outsource that responsibility to someone else is the second you've given away your agency as an individual person. It blows my mind that people would even consider something like this for more than 5 seconds, or suggest that the problem with it is corruption or something to that effect, no, the problem is the entire premise from it's beginning. And everything about it. But you shouldn't even have to get that far to know it's a bad idea.
