  1.  @BasedAstraea  this isn't a fake left wing conspiracy theory about Russia, the laptop scandal was 100% real, and media knew it was real, or at least knew it was very likely real, and they deliberately sat on it and suppressed it during the campaign. Which is an additional scandal on top of the scandal itself. I can't help but imagine your irrational skepticism wouldn't be evenly applied if it were Trump and one of his kids.

  10.  666.SleeperCell  yea that's just the nature of the beast, nearly all politicians are going to be corrupt if they're given as much power as the American people have given their government. It was never meant to be this way, America was supposed to be the exception, that's what American exceptionalism means, it doesn't mean we're necessarily the best at everything, it just means we're different, it means this is a free country for free people who don't need the government to carry them. And that means life is hard sometimes, and it's dangerous sometimes, but it's worth it because you can be anything you want to be if you work hard enough for it. We've completely lost that spirit. At least enough of us have that our government has too much authority to prevent us from living out that ideal

  13.  @BasedAstraea  and yes, I'm well aware of the "2 right wing parties" rhetoric, I regularly watch Jimmy Dore and other far leftists. But that's completely false, that's just something far leftists say to manipulate stupid people. The US has shifted extremely far to the left in the last several decades, democrats still aren't that far left, but a large portion of their voter base are far left extremists. There are virtually no far right extremists in the country and Republicans do not pander to them like democrats pander to the far left.
