  2. Not much can be done now, the moderate left has done a piss poor job of keeping the looney far left at bay, and on the fringes, where all extremists belong. There's a reason you didn't see hundreds of far right riots taking to the street, because moderates on the right don't have a problem saying "I'm not with them, those dudes are crazy", at least enough of the moderate right that the far right hasn't become a widespread problem. But the moderate left stood idly by and enabled the far left to grow, because you wanted to win. Someone who's going too far to the right will listen to me before he listens to you, because he doesn't see me as an adversary, likewise someone going too far to the left will with all of you, but you didn't try to talk them down. The damage is done, and it's enough damage that it's going to take decades to repair, if we can ever repair it at all. Congratulations. You did this.
