And you can't honestly be suggesting that humans have less resources to relocate now than they did hundreds, or thousands of years ago, are you? Because that's laughably delusional. Even the poorest people in the world today have better living conditions than people before industrialization did.

  2. Where the hell are you pulling these numbers out of? It's been 100° pretty much all summer in Houston, close to it on the rare days it's not, and we can keep our houses below 70° easily, unless you have an old ass jacked up AC unit. If what you were saying was true, we wouldn't be able to get it below 75°. We could even run our AC lower than 70, except most people don't want to pay that energy cost, plus it would be uncomfortably cold for most people.

  19. Ben isn't wrong. His point is that humans have always adapted and innovated to survive in our environment, that's one of the primary things that separates us from other animals. We built a city in the middle of the desert, and now people travel there from all over the world to lose all their money gambling and marry a stripper. Global temperature rising by a few degrees, or sea level rising by a few feet isn't going to kill our species. The elites know that too. It's just fear based manipulation, to get stupid people to agree to authoritarian government policies.

  21.  @mathiasmies7341  but the other stuff that has little to nothing to do with the climate being shoved into their proposals isn't a bug, it's a feature. That's pretty much the entire point. If the wealthy elites really believed their own alarmism, would they be buying up property on the beach? All their flying around on private jets can be chalked up to pure selfishness, but these are not stupid people. They wouldn't be buying property that they think will be underwater in 10 years.
