  1.  @captainpawpawchannel  and based on your extremist definitions, "real" capitalism hasn't been tried either, because that would basically be anarchy, no taxes, no regulations. Basically nobody wants that, even hardcore libertarians are in favor of very minimal government oversight and regulation. Pretty much every economy throughout history has been mixed.

  4.  @godonlyknows13  well I can't speak for everyone, but the famine and genocide are usually pretty big concerns for most people. Those things are generally frowned upon.

When someone refers to a nation such as the US as "capitalist", they just mean that it's more capitalist than socialist. Which is actually debatable, the US has some of the most expansive regulation and welfare systems in the world in many ways.

  6. You would have to change the fundamental nature of humanity to achieve that, in other words, strip the humanity part away from humanity. That's why socialism is so evil, because they only way to try and achieve it is to just kill everyone who doesn't go along.

  9.  @Matthew.E.Kelly.  but successful people generally aren't going to willfully surrender their wealth and resources to lazy people who don't feel like working. So socialism requires very authoritarian government backing, it just can't work otherwise.
