All these people who freak out about how the world is going to become "uninhabitable" seem to conveniently overlook the fact that we built a city in the middle of the desert, and people travel from all over the world to go there and lose all their money and marry a stripper.

@granddefectus4602 seen all of it. The only thing that can be concluded is that climate change is happening. That doesn't mean it's because of cow farts and F350s, it's impossible to quantify how much of it is due to human interaction, and how much is due to natural processes like the irregularity of earth's orbit, or the shift of the axis tilt. The only way we could know that is by having another planet that's either exactly like earth, or close enough to compare, that never had industrialization. Even then, it would be hit or miss. It's called a control and a variable. We used to learn about that in elementary school science class. Right now we just have a variable. That's not sound science. You can observe a change with only a control or a variable, but you cannot conclude any causation for that change. But good job pretending to be smart. I'm sure all your leftist friends believe it.

@captainhurricane5705 also any time there's just nothing out of the ordinary at all. I live in Houston, this past summer was relatively mild by our standards, only got over 100° a few times. I don't remember hearing any local news reports about the "unusually mild temperatures".

Legend has it AOC travelled to Houston once, and was absolutely horrified when the climate changed 4 times in one day.

More or less, it's not impossible for matter to leave or enter our atmosphere, but for the most part, all of the matter that's on earth and in our atmosphere stays here, and has been here for a long time. I've always thought about that with the climate grift too, the only thing we can really do is turn matter into different matter. I'm skeptical it really has as dramatic an impact on the climate as the grifters say it does.

For real, we're all mortal beings, living on a mortal planet, in a mortal galaxy. It almost seems like leftists are so detached from reality, they haven't even accepted their imminent mortality, like every normal person does at some point in time, usually shortly after you're old enough to understand the concept of death.

@granddefectus4602 I don't have to be a mathematician to know how elementary level science works. I explained in the simplest terms possible, even an invalid like you should be able to understand it. @granddefectus4602 I already explained this, the only thing that can be quantified is changes in climate. That doesn't prove causation. And since we know for a fact that there are so many external factors that have nothing to do with human interaction, you really can't quantify how much is due to human interaction. You can't just say "it's changed (x) amount since industrialization, therefore industrialization is the cause", science doesn't work like that. The earth has undergone many, many, many extremely dramatic climatic shifts long before human beings ever existed, far more dramatic than anything that's happened during our time as a species, let alone the brief time since industrialization, and many of these shifts happened very rapidly, in the span of a couple of decades. You're being taken for a ride. Global elites are taking advantage of that scrambled little dyslexic brain of yours.

Hell there's probably nothing that can be done about it at this point, so many people like you just blindly believed them and did all the heavy lifting for them over the past several decades, free society as we know it is as good as dead. @meathooks79 humans suck at moderation. It's like how we used to look down on, and institute oppressive laws against racial minorities, and now we give them free shit just because of their skin color, and pat them on the back and say good job for existing, while vilifying anyone from a perceived "oppressor" group, as though they're guilty for the sins of their grandfather's. We can't just find a moderate middle ground and stay there, with absolutely anything. Crazies always shout the loudest.
