They understand compassion just enough to know it's something normal humans experience, but they have never and can never experience it themselves. They're defective.

@williamwilson8582 you have nearly infinite dice to roll, that's what freedom means. You may have started from a shittier position in life than a lot of other people, but there are countless things you can do to improve from that situation, so your children can start from a better place than you did.

And that's the fundamental break in communication between the right and the left, to the right, "fair" means everyone has to play by the same rules, to the left, "fair" means everyone gets the same outcome.

@buragi5441 it's easier to cut off a tall man's legs than to make a short man taller.

@williamwilson8582 yea and look at your taxes. Think there might be a correlation there, little fella? Give the government more money so they can fix your problems for you, then you have more problems, and your solution is to just keep giving them more money. Big brain time.

@williamwilson8582 well some principles are universal, and one of them is that advocating to just give people things because they need or want it is self destructive and counter intuitive. If you want an economy and a society to strive, then people have to have something to strive for.

No no no, there's a formula here; Mild injury = mildly funny Serious but not life threatening injury = hilarious Potentially life threatening injury = not funny Also there are multipliers for fat guy getting injured, and stupid person doing stupid thing and getting injured.

@thomgizziz for real, who doesn't laugh when someone gets smacked in the face with something when they're not paying attention? Come on, that's universally hilarious, you could show old Chris Farley gags to an alien and they would laugh their ass off, like oh shit, humans like fat guys getting hurt too? We love that shit on our planet, your species is pretty cool🤣

@williamwilson8582 it's reasonable in fairy tale land, but not in the actual version of reality, where things cost money. You can't just poof whatever arbitrary amount of money you think people need into existence, I'm not sure if you've noticed, but humans aren't very good at living within their means. If you give poor people more money, most of them are just going to spend more money and still be poor. That's why they're poor in the first place.

@williamwilson8582 and you seem to have this romanticized view of the hard working, poverty stricken American, who works his hands to the bone and just can't catch a break. Yea that's not a thing. Work ethic in America is dying. If you work hard and put in the hours, someone will pay you well, because companies are desperate for those kinds of people. The overwhelming majority of Americans work barely hard enough to not get fired. That's reality. And people with your mentality are THE reason things are that way. We've lowered our standard for work and personal responsibility, inch by inch, day by day, for decades now. And your solution is to lower the standard even more.

@Marcara081 it's really become a creepy mantra in left wing circles, "right wingers lack empathy", "they just don't have empathy like we do", "these politicians just lack empathy", I see shit like that all the time. I don't think most of them even know what they're saying, it's become impulsive, like saying "bless you" when someone sneezes. It's part of how the cult controls them, they'll never even listen to the ideas of anyone outside of the cult because they're convinced we're all these demonic racists that just want everyone to suffer. Which is hilariously ridiculous when you consider most of the people suffering the most around the globe are people living in leftist shitholes. More conservative areas of the US and the world abroad are typically doing just fine.
