@Madonnalitta1 not the same process we have now, but something like peer review has existed as long as we've even attempted to explain things scientifically.

@thetruth45678 sure, but I think you can reach a balance, where you understand science and respect the process, but also respect that a lot of the world exists outside of that, or at least outside of our understanding of that. A lot of the "science minded" people you'll run across are very dismissive of anything outside of science, like if you can't quantify it and hold it in your hand, it doesn't matter. And I'm just not going to be that dismissive. Just to be clear, I'm an atheist, I don't think any particular religion has all the answers either. But they're all right about one thing, there are things science can't explain.

It's not my fault you make implications and faulty assumptions based on what other people say. Has it ever crossed your mind that might be part of why you're always getting into stupid arguments? @AusSP would be kinda hard to prove the supernatural though, because if you prove it exists, you probably have some kind of explanation of why and how, otherwise it wouldn't be sufficient proof. And then it wouldn't be supernatural anymore, it would just be natural.

@thetruth45678 and the other faulty assumption you're making here is that I was criticizing science for not explaining everything. I never said that, I never even suggested that it was a critique of science as a whole. You just assumed that. So you assumed that I was making an assertion about the purpose of science, which I did not, and you assumed I was making a critique of science, which I was not. You're just assuming things left and right and then pretending like that's the basis of your argument. It's extremely dishonest. But you know that. That's why you're getting so pissed off. Liars don't like when people notice they're liars.
