@madebymonkeys5641 isn't that the sad reality? And most women would view that as "settling", because they've been fed a bunch of nonsense all their lives about how they can have it all, and if anything ever doesn't work out, it's someone else's fault. When really it's just being realistic. With some rare exception, most normal people aren't going to have it all in life. You've got to make some sacrifices to get the things you really want.

I still watch Tim regularly. I understand the complaints, but I still see him as informative. The world is an ugly place sometimes. I can separate my personal life and the things that make me happy from the overall broad spectrum of the world and all the messed up stuff going on.

I guess I was an incel for the better part of about 3 years up until recently, after a few bad relationships I just decided it wasn't worth it, didn't seek out any female interaction. I had a few brief flings during that span but never anything serious. Finally met a decent woman that just stumbled into my life through happenstance, and we've been together about 3 months. It was worth it.

@zednotzee yea, thanks. So far so good, I'm trying to balance between not getting too ahead of myself but also not holding back. But we have a good mutual respect for each other, there's no imbalance of power like tends to derail relationships early on.

@PyrrhicPax yea I understand that, but it wasn't completely voluntary, like I said, I had a few flings in between. It's not like I had zero options, and it's not like I took a vow or anything. I just didn't try that hard for a couple of years, wasn't the primary thing on my mind.
