  3.  @jeremybeckerman2624  a republic is a conglomerate of states that are each represented within a greater nation. Direct democracy is just one nation where each citizen has one vote. Republic is better, because it gives people more freedom to live within a state that best shares their values, and it holds each state accountable to the others, if you run your state like an absolute trainwreck, people will leave. Like California.
