You're right, he shouldn't have even been charged. The video evidence made it abundantly clear he was acting in self defense.

I've never seen a prosecutor behave like this, most judges wouldn't take that shit and probably would have called a mistrial far earlier.

@samuelmerkel2888 I don't understand how anyone can watch even 5 minutes of this trial and still come away with the narrative the left is pushing. This is complete insanity. Rittenhouse is clearly not guilty, and shit the prosecution is just doing their job, but they're having to pull out every shady tactic in the book to try and convict an innocent man. So the judge is acting accordingly. This is extremely clear. I think the left knows it too, I think they're just acting in their tribal nature.

@wgooetrik no murder charge. From what I understand the only thing he could really be charged with is a misdemeanor gun charge, and one of his attackers had an illegally obtained handgun. Kyle's gun was legally purchased and registered, he just wasn't the legal owner yet. And it's not illegal for him to be in possession of it.

And you're just objectively incorrect about taxes, the top 1% of earners in the US pay 40% of the net taxes. Their taxes are often complicated, because they write a lot off from their income, but they pay far more in property taxes and corporate taxes. You're just plain wrong. On both counts.

@isoakkfgy4462 nope. If a 12 year old is at home alone and a burglar breaks in, he has every right to grab his dad's gun and shoot him. Under any circumstances other than self defense, it is not legal for a 12 year old to have a gun. But self defense nullifies that. In the case of Rittenhouse, he could be brought up on a separate charge for that, but from my understanding that's not even likely to follow through due to hunting laws.

His attackers were seeking violence, all of this is also on video and there's ample witness testimony, Rosenbaum travelled from further away than Rittenhouse with the explicit purpose of rioting and causing violence. There's no mention of this, you keep screeching about "crossing state lines" by driving 20 minutes away to the town he works in and has family in, but dead silence about Rosenbaum travelling twice that distance to riot. And having an illegally obtained handgun, no mention of that either. You're just completely wrong on this. It's fine, the media lied and lied and lied, they deceive people all the time. That's what they do. At least show some humility and just admit they got you this time. You're just digging your hole deeper by doubling down, and showing that you're completely morally bankrupt. @traekas7228 the "state lines" part is completely irrelevant. It means nothing. There is no law about that whatsoever. None. Nothing. It's completely make believe. It's just some bullshit Ana Kasparian pulled out of her ass and repeated a thousand times. It's not a thing. It's never been a thing. And even as a minor there are hunting provisions that make Rittenhouse's possession of the firearm legal, he just can't legally own it. Those are different things.

@dqmachine2624 the police weren't doing their job though. BLM intimidated them into submission. And you can have a problem with it if you want to, but that doesn't mean it's illegal. It's also illegal for convicted kid diddlers and wife beaters to run around attacking people, but you don't seem to have a problem with that.
