You're right, leftists have been praising and defending communism and tyrants like Mao and Stalin for years, nobody bats an eyelash at that, and the one time a public figure does the same with Nazis and Hitler the whole internet's hair is on fire. If that's not proof the Overton window has gone 50 miles to the left, I don't know what is.
