  1. Because some titles are very hard to earn, and you deserve the respect of keeping that title. We still refer to retired military vets by their highest rank. It's just a show of respect. But I wouldn't expect a leftist to understand the concept of earning respect, you've never done anything worthy of respect in your entire miserable life.
