@ericlondon2663 she didn't say she wanted her child dead, she said that she wouldn't just do whatever her daughter says because she's having those thoughts. Someone with suicidal thoughts is not thinking clearly, and needs help. Giving into everything they demand isn't help, it's enabling.

I do understand that people have trust in institutions, and they think it's fine if a doctor prescribes it, but it's not fine, and they shouldn't trust them. The doctors and pharmaceudical companies are the real villain, for destroying America's youth to make a buck, but parents hold some blame too.

She was saying that you shouldn't do absolutely anything for someone just because they say they're suicidal, because giving in to their manipulation doesn't usually help them. In many cases it does more harm than good. David is being deliberately dishonest here, because he knows his audience is stupid, and he's a dishonest person.

Whenever an article says that someone "suggested" something, that means the person in question didn't actually say that, but the writer of the article is just being dishonest and putting words in their mouth.

@mantispunch wtf are you even trying to say? I'm really trying to decipher this since you're only about 60% literate, but if someone "suggests" some kind of a threat, then no, that is not a crime. If they say they're going to commit a crime or if they actually make a legitimate threat, that could be investigated and deemed to be a crime.

@mantispunch sure suggestions can have negative implications. But negative implications aren't a crime. And let's not pretend like it's only Republicans or the right talking about secessions, there's just as much, if not more rhetoric coming from the left about separating from red states and red areas. This is a 2 way street, we live in a divided nation, and that's 100% the fault of the left. Left wing politics can only exist if the left wing is dominant, and that requires force. The right is perfectly content to agree to disagree on political issues, but the left can't do that, because leftism requires complete submission, it only works through force.

Exactly, David knows he's being dishonest, he just also knows his primary audience is too stupid to form their own opinions. I agree with what she was saying, she's saying if someone you care about is depressed and/or suicidal, you need to take control and do what's best for them, they don't know what they need because their mind isn't right. She clearly wasn't saying screw it just let them die. She's just saying the adults in the room need to step up and be the adults in the room. That's exactly what this country needs.
