I agree, flat tax for all Americans.

Even if you killed all the rich people, there would just be new rich people and you would still be poor.

The top 1% pay 40% of the net taxes.

@slicerjohn1897 it's coming out of their pockets.

@mikeshultz1007 nobody should have to pay a higher rate just because they have more, that's absurd. Now I personally think we should all pay extremely low taxes, the government sucks, I think we can take care of each other better and more efficiently than some suits in an office miles away, that don't give a damn one way or the other about you and me. But I can understand the arguments for higher taxes. I don't understand the arguments for progressive taxes, I mean I understand what people are saying. But they're just childish and greedy, it's really that simple. Nobody owes you or me anything just because they have more, just as you or me doesn't owe anyone anything because they have less. You owe it to yourself to do better with your own life.

You would still be poor. They would just be replaced by different rich people. And you'll still be a broke loser, in any timeline, on any planet, in any economic system. You should be happy, this is probably the best you could ever possibly have it, thanks to the hard work of regular people. In a lot of other eras you would have just been tiger bait.

You lefties really have no idea about actual statistics around taxes.

@nobody_fromnowhere2649 it's hilarious how leftists think their own ideas are stupid when you phrase it in a realistic way. They're so stupid they don't even realize that they think they're stupid.
1
@poisontaco55 and they can, because the system is set up to allow them to while telling stupid leftists they're trying to tax them more. And they still pay the lions share of taxes as is.
1
Sky Gardener that's false, they pay proportionately more than the amount they're worth.

@slicerjohn1897 they still pay 40% of the net taxes. It's not my fault you don't know that numbers are a thing that exists, and you suck at life and need someone that doesn't suck to give you money.
1
@slicerjohn1897 want more? People just wanting to keep what they earned isn't "wanting more", you expecting them to give their money to you because they have more is wanting more.
1
@fabulousunicorn1219 you didn't earn their money.
