@notchomomma239 it has nothing to do with active or former, different positions carry different clearance level. A state governor is not privy to the same documents as a higher ranking official, and your rank doesn't go away after your term in office. Former Presidents can have classified documents, it's not illegal, it's not even controversial. People like Kyle know that too, they just know you don't, and you won't bother learning. Orange Man bad is all you care about.

@LostCylon since when? Tell that to all the former Presidents, pretty much all of them retained classified documents. This isn't new, people like Kyle just know people like you don't know anything.

@mathildewesendonck7225 it depends on what the documents are, and why they are/were classified. A lot of them are time sensitive, if it's something about a plan for 2022, that doesn't really matter now, it's already happened. Just having the documents isn't illegal, it never has been. It could be, depending on what the documents are, and the handling of them. But Trump just being in possession of them is not a crime.

@harrybarrow6222 you need evidence, not me. The burden of proof is on the accuser, when I hear the former president has classified documents, I think, "ok, that sounds fine. He's the former president". You think "orange man bad, orange man is always bad, I don't care about logic, law, or basic reasoning, orange man bad my entire life revolves around orange man bad!!!"

So what? A former President having classified documents isn't illegal, it depends on what documents they are, and who is allowed clearance. The President is allowed clearance on just about everything. And a lot of them are time sensitive, what was classified 5 years ago is probably harmless now, because whatever it was detailing has already happened.
