  2. I don't think there's anything irrational about being concerned about thousands of armed IRS agents, and at least asking questions. You can point and laugh at people who are leery of government if you want, but anyone who trusts the government are the crazy ones, government corruption is closer to the rule throughout human history than the exception. And the dismissive attitude like "it won't happen to us" is exactly what gives governments the opportunity to become more corrupt.
