He didn't tell anyone to attack anyone. What he said about Sandy Hook was horrible, in very poor taste, but you're just being dishonest to say he even encouraged any kind of violence.

@C K that's a pretty ridiculous stretch, by that same standard anyone criticizing or questioning anyone could be considered incitement. What about a sports talk show trashing how the rookie quarterback sucks? Some crazy fan might show up at his house. No, that's the crazy fan's fault if that happens, people are responsible for their own actions. Just because someone says something doesn't mean you have to take it to heart and act on it.

@C K but you can't draw a definitive line between what Jones said and someone criticizing an athlete, because there is no line. Because your premise is really that ridiculous, no matter what Jones said about anyone, there's no call to action, there's no coercion for anyone to act on anything. And I highly doubt you would apply this same standard to people on your side of the political aisle. Because there's no shortage of Democrats making inflammatory comments towards Trump supporters, and there's no shortage of leftists actually acting in violence towards people with political disagreements. But I'm sure that's ok in your book.

@lilscampa438 my "both sides" argument is that words are words, no matter who's saying it, whether it's democrats encouraging violence against normal people, or Alex Jones making distasteful comments, if someone acts on something, they're responsible for their actions, not someone who just said something.

@kr00m no, I don't think Imams should be charged with incitement. The people who carried out the acts are accountable, unless there's some kind of leverage or coercion, you don't have to do something just because someone told you to. And Jones didn't even tell anyone to do anything.

@xmwest6814 my standard applies equally to everyone, I've stated this multiple times. My personal opinion of Jones is completely irrelevant. It's very telling that all you lefties can't even comprehend this concept, because you're so blinded by tribalism you have absolutely zero consistent principles. "My side good, your side bad", that's your entire worldview.

@xmwest6814 you think I like Maxine Waters? Because I sure as hell don't. But I don't think she should be charged with a crime for encouraging voters to harass and even attack Republican representatives. If someone acts on that, then they're guilty of their own actions, Waters isn't guilty for saying words. I think what she said was extremely irresponsible, and I think the voters should let her know by voting her out of office, but that's just my personal opinion. If you don't support the free speech of people you hate, then you don't support free speech at all.

@xmwest6814 it's relevant because I'm showing that I have consistency on this position, it doesn't matter whether I agree with what the person is saying, or who the person is. Words are just words. It's really beyond my comprehension how leftists just don't understand this basic concept, it really shows how deeply indoctrinated you are.

@kr00m mob bosses can be charged because they have coercive power over their subjects, a member of the Mafia can't just simply decline, so the boss would be accountable for that. What coercive power does Alex Jones have over some random person who listens to him? There's no negative consequences for them if they don't act on anything Jones suggests. He doesn't even know them.

Just be honest and admit this is all political.
