  1. It's thoroughly one sided, the left has been artificially pushed way further to the left than anything that could happen through natural political changes. This is a coordinated effort by government, media, and academia, spanning several generations. This is irrefutably true as well, mainstream conservative views haven't really changed that much in the past several decades, mainstream liberal and leftist views are unrecognizable compared to where they were even 10 years ago.

  2. Trump is the effect, not the cause. The left had gone bat shit insane before Trump was even involved in politics, he got elected because people wanted to give you a nice slap in the face hoping it would wake you up. It didn't work.
