Because he's not guilty.
13
@pri.sci.lla. he's not "getting away" with anything, because he's not guilty. And yes, his attacker is not on trial, but he sure as hell should be and likely will be for attempted murder. Which he is obviously guilty of as seen in the same video footage that proves Kyle's innocence.
12
But it's totally fine that one of Rittenhouse's attackers was a convicted felon with an illegally obtained handgun. That's fine. We're not talking about that.
12
@Ash12428 what's the alternative? Just let violent rioters lay siege to a town and not do anything about it? When does that end, and what will be done when it does end?
11
@pri.sci.lla. there's not only not sufficient evidence to lead to his guilt, there's no evidence whatsoever of his guilt. Not a shred. He's as close to being proven innocent as you can reasonably ever expect, and that's not even the bar for finding him not guilty.
11
@pri.sci.lla. that's just the facts, anyone who's watched more than 5 consecutive minutes of the trial knows this. You're either willfully ignorant or being dishonest. Those are the only 2 options.
10
@pri.sci.lla. there's video evidence of him being chased, pursued, and attacked by armed and violent rioters. This is open and shut, it couldn't possibly be more clearly defined.
9
@pri.sci.lla. he killed 2 people in self defense. That's not a crime. Attempted murder is a crime, which all 3 of his attackers are guilty of. This is all on video. You're as delusional as flat earthers.
6
@pri.sci.lla. I'm being very consistent, self defense is not a crime. Attempted murder is.
5
@pri.sci.lla. the prosecution does suck, but that's not what the issue is. Trying to prove guilt on someone who's clearly not guilty isn't an easy task. He's naturally having to throw a lot of hail Marys, because this case is such obvious nonsense it never even should have been brought to trial. You know that too, that's why you're having to grasp at straws to defend your obviously tribal position that's grounded in nonsense and delusion. You're so indoctrinated that you're quite literally not believing your lying eyes.
4
Jimmy from Philly Wiped I think we should be nice to the prosecutor, if you were charged with having to prove that farts are actually demons escaping from your bum-bum, you would probably have to resort to some unorthodox tactics too. Because that's how ridiculous this trial is
4
@pri.sci.lla. how is that projection, even if you were correct? (You're not) why do you lefties always say that? None of you even seem to understand what projection even means. It's annoying as hell. And I'm not grasping at any straws at all, I'm just observing reality. There are 3 rioters attacking and attempting to murder Kyle, on video. You're just like the flat earthers that see live feed video of the spheroid earth from space, and say "nope, it's fake. You're a NASA shill." That's your level of reasoning here.
4
@pri.sci.lla. how am I trying to prove how tough I am? I'm just observing reality.
4
@ThePunk01 aren't you the same people that claim every black person in prison is wrongfully convicted? (Yes, I'm being hyperbolic) but funny how that only applies when it fits your agenda. And I never said that he was going to be found innocent in court, I just said that he's innocent. Because that's how clear it is that he's not guilty. There is no reasonable doubt whatsoever that he's innocent, if there was such thing as an innocent verdict, he would be found innocent in a fair court. I'm also curious if your standard of "if he's found guilty he's guilty" will still apply if Rittenhouse is found not guilty. I'm sure you'll be the first one spazzing out on Twitter about how the justice system is broken. Except when it agrees with you. And you and I both know the jury in the Chauvin trial was intimidated into a guilty verdict. You're just lying. Because leftists always lie. You couldn't even be honest by accident, if I asked you to pick a number between 1 and 10, you would probably say purple, because it's not in your DNA to give a reasonable and honest response to anything. You're defective.
4
@bobthegamer1880 he is a hero, someone has to stand up to the BLM terrorists, or our country is going to be ashes within the next 5 years.
4
@NS-ef2ix the video shows 3 violent rioters attacking and attempting to murder Kyle. It's very clear. This can't reasonably be interpreted any way besides that.
3
@NS-ef2ix have you seen the video?
3
@glogirl6481 says the person typing in all bold.
3
@KC-py5vq there are actual murals and statues of George Floyd. Who's only contribution to society was dying from an overdose while resisting arrest.
3
That's completely false, he was there to give aid to injured protesters and even rioters, and protect the business that he worked at. He had good reason to be armed, the best reason you can possibly have, even though you don't even need a reason to be armed because you're (allegedly) endowed with that right in the Constitution. If he wasn't armed, he would be dead, and just another statistic that was a victim to the far left riots, another nameless murder victim among over 20 now.
2
@PieaterProducts what the hell are you even talking about? He was actively being attacked by rioters trying to kill him. It's on video. How can you possibly deny that? You've seen it with your own 2 eyes. Are you really that indoctrinated? This is the "don't believe your lying eyes" meme, in real life. That's really you.
2
@stumble_leiner yea they're a small minority that screams the loudest on the internet. So they seem like a larger group than they really are. But it's still frightening that there's even people this oblivious that exist at all, even if they're a small faction.
2
@pri.sci.lla. the only law Kyle even potentially broke was paying his sister's boyfriend for a firearm he couldn't legally own until he was 18. And that's likely to get thrown out anyway, since he's 18 now. And even if he were charged and convicted of that, it's just a misdemeanor.
2
@grantsmythe8625 I'm not assuming anything, I'm making an observation that a video showing Kyle being attacked by rioters is a video of him being attacked by rioters.
2
@grantsmythe8625 did his attackers know he was 17? And if you haven't seen the video that's the central piece of evidence proving Kyle's innocence, the reason this shouldn't have even been brought to trial, why are you even weighing in on this? That's as ignorant as someone talking about religion and not knowing who Jesus is.
2
@PieaterProducts he was faking surrender. This is all abundantly obvious by the video evidence. There is actual video footage of him being attacked by armed rioters. You're just incorrect. You've been misled by the media, just be honest to yourself, let it go, and use it to keep your eyes open for the future. Because it's not going to be the last time the media distorts an event to fit a narrative.
1
@PieaterProducts so you need to check your eyes then, because the video clearly shows violent rioters chasing and attacking Rittenhouse, and him only opening fire when he was actively being attacked. After he was trying to flee.
1
@pri.sci.lla. possibly, if he's found guilty of that charge. But him not being old enough to own a gun is a less severe crime than his attacker in possession of a gun that he was in no way legally permitted to be in possession of. And even if both of them are guilty of that, it's peanuts compared to the fact that Kyle was the victim of an attempted murder, that's a far more severe charge than either potential gun charge.
1
@grantsmythe8625 It would be an enhancement on the attempted murder that was very obviously taking place, as per the video evidence.
1
@pri.sci.lla. I said that he is a criminal if it turns out that his payment of the firearm is illegal. There's a lot of legal bullshit with those laws, it's possibly he didn't break any laws due to certain provisions permitting minors to be in possession of a firearm. And there are varying degrees of "criminality", if you've ever jaywalked, you're a criminal. You're making a lot of assumptions about my views of criminals, which is showing that you're losing footing on your already loose arguments that are based on tribalism and delusions.
