@ridgebriar17 because that makes perfect sense, a criminal that doesn't care about laws breaks into your house with modern weaponry, and you have to politely ask him to wait at the door for 1-3 minutes while you reload your 1700s era replica musket. Also semi-automatic rifles existed when the constitution was written too. Muskets were just the most commonly used military arms because they were more easily mass produced at the time.

@TheBighatter funny how the anti gun people seem to know absolutely nothing about guns or gun laws. With damn near zero exceptions. Imagine that same idiocy applied to anything else, like it I stood on my high horse and started complaining about how ballet is all wrong, and everyone should listen to how I think ballet should operate. Oh yea, and I don't care about ballet and I don't know anything about ballet. But just listen to me damnit, because I'm super smart and demand that my rules be the rules for everyone.

@TheBighatter it's not the lack of knowledge that baffles me, there's a ton of things I don't know about. That's fine. But I'm aware of what I don't know about. That's what makes no sense to me. If I start yammering on about ballet, I'm either A) talking to someone that knows equally nothing about ballet, and they don't care, or B) talking to someone who actually knows about ballet, and they instantly know I'm full of shit and I don't know what I'm talking about. That's why I don't understand why people just pretend to know about things they know nothing about. They're not fooling anyone, at least not anyone that cares.

@TheBighatter of course when it comes to political issues, there's also power involved. So these authoritarian gun grabbers are probably just trying to manipulate people who don't know any better. Not the idiots in this thread though, they're the people being manipulated.
