I don't know why they chose to use actors anyway, sure it may have better production quality, but her actually talking off script to kids would have been good optics and made her look more relatable. And that's something they could desperately use, because she's not exactly very popular. This just makes her seem even more fake. Hell they could have even cherry picked kids that also happen to be actors and just have them go off script and talk to Kamala and ask her whatever they want.
