I don't think Sean is wrong in any of his analysis, but I think an extremely big part of why there's such outrage, that seems so obvious but I don't see many people talking about, is the anecdote Dave shared about his friend. He actually shined a light on the elephant in the room that we all know, that the far left are the real bullies, the real violent faction, who hides behind identity to pretend like they're the victims. This probably sounds like beating a dead horse to most of the people watching this channel, but that's not so clearly visible to everyone, for someone like Dave, who has a huge platform of viewers from all over the political spectrum to come out and say that will probably kind of activate a light bulb that everyone has probably seen in one way or another, but may not want to speak out about because of the perception of them being bigoted in some way. Again, I know that sounds silly to most of us, but I'm thinking about the masses, the mostly apolitical normies. They've probably seen how aggressive the far left is towards non believers, but a mainstream voice acknowledging the same thing is a major shot fired in the direction of the far left movement.

I remember when leftists were crying about a HS football coach who "makes" his team pray before games, which I'm not a huge fan of, but at the same time nobody is forcing you to pray if they're not forcing you to be on the team in the first place. If it's really that big of a deal to you, you can quit. It's not like he's making them go to church every Sunday, you can just bow your head and go with the flow, I'm an atheist and I have no problem with group prayer type things, it's not like I'll lose my atheism membership card if I get caught praying. Yea Gemma was pretty awful, she had the whole "I didn't ask for this" attitude, but actually yea, she did ask for it when she agreed to be the godparent, and even if she changed her mind when it became a reality, the dad's parents offered to step in and even wanted to. She did have a bit of a redemption arc, so there's that. But it's still hard to actually like her. Btw, I wouldn't really consider this comment a spoiler, since I didn't give too much away, and this is one of the most straight forward movies I've recently seen. There's really not much to give away, you can pretty much guess the ending just from the trailer. Still a good movie though.

I'm just south of Houston, I had to wear a mask at most businesses for a few months, but even in the beginning nobody cared that much, if I saw other people not wearing a mask I would take mine off and nobody ever said anything. My work slowed down to a crawl for the first 6 months or so, I work at a kennel that boards dogs, so our businesses relies pretty heavily on people taking vacations. It really is the path of least resistance, you get out and you're broke, often with no place to go except moving back in with family, it's hard to find a job, the easy way out is to just say fuck it and sell drugs or steal or whatever else it is you do that's easier than getting a job and working hard. And I don't know the real answer, I don't think there is a simple answer, and I completely understand why businesses wouldn't want to hire people with criminal records, and I don't want to make them. But I still think there should be some kind of legal boundary with hard drug use, just as a deterrent and to try to keep it away from kids as much as we can. As long as all you're doing is doing drugs and nothing else illegal, you're probably not going to get caught or have any legal penalty against you. But just the fact that it is illegal is enough to deter some people from breaking other laws while they have drugs. It's a very important boundary.

They tend to oversell the medicinal benefits and act like it's some kind of magic cure for everything, and it comes across as them just being degenerate potheads that want an excuse to get high all day.   600. Thank god for the suburbs, I live about 20 miles south of Houston, it's pretty nice here. It's not perfect, there are homeless people, there is some crime, but it's mostly a safe area, and people are mostly normal, you don't encounter far left creatures very often. When I do go into the city, usually for an Astros game, it's a whole different world. Just driving through you can see a noticeable difference in the kind of people walking around. And this is Houston, one of the more "normal" downtown areas.

But there is a difference between soft on crime and pro criminal, there's a gradient. Soft on crime would be wanting reduced prison time and probation or parole instead, or wanting prisons to focus more on reform and rehab than on retribution and deterrent. Again, I don't agree, I'm much more tough on crime than traditional liberals, but I understand the sentiment, and it's not at all the same as what the left is doing now.

Because as much as I hate the idea of someone getting fired, or not hired solely because of their race, I also don't think employers should be required by law to hire (x) amount of (y), and I also don't think they should have their hands tied where they can't fire someone who sucks at their job just because of special protections. If we were to revert back to just claiming whatever land you want, then someone can just as easily claim it from you. Then we end up in a society where the guy with the most guns and money owns everything. Government is necessary so there's a neutral arbiter and a system in place to settle property disputes. Is it perfect? Of course not. Can it be corrupted? Hell yes, and it usually is. But just getting rid of it all together makes corruption absolute and everywhere. Having some system in place leads to less chaos and less injustice than having no system at all, even if the system is completely corrupted.

Whether you believe in the lore or not, Satan is associated with the bad, the evil, the unsavory. Regardless of what direction you want to take it, kids should be exposed to as much good as possible, and as little evil as possible. Man I saw this study that said babies born after covid have a significantly lower average IQ than before covid, I think the numbers are 100 all the way down to 78 if I'm remembering correctly. Now I do have a healthy amount of skepticism about the validity of these test's scientific authenticity, I'm skeptical of IQ tests in general. There's no test that exists that can completely take out the element of test taking skills, that's not the same thing as intelligence, and I know IQ tests do the best they can to eliminate that factor, but they can't reduce it to 0. Still though, considering the psychological and intellectual effects we already know that are linked to silent communication, especially in child development, I'm inclined to believe that study is at least mostly valid, the general idea at least.
