Maybe those particular incidents weren't racially motivated, but the fact that black on white homicide is so disproportionately more likely than the reverse really leaves no other explanation than racism. The rate of white on white homicide tracks with white on black homicide per Capita, no significant difference, but black on white homicide is more than twice as likely per Capita. Anyone is welcome to offer an alternative explanation, but I've heard several, and all of them are nonsense. Maybe I'm missing something. But I'm probably not. It's racism.

@dustinlawson5882 in the 90s, people who used race as a crutch were widely mocked by society. If something was legitimately racist, then people took exception to it, but if someone acts like an asshole and pulls the race card when they're called out, we all told them to shut up and stop being an asshole.

@tconyt8373 when I noticed it getting really bad was right after Obama got elected. ANY criticism of him whatsoever was dismissed as racism by his defenders. I'm not gonna try to place all the blame on him, but his presidency is when things really started to amp back up, and it's gotten exponentially worse since.

I have no sympathy for Maher, he's one of the founding fathers of politics as a fashion statement, and one of the most instrumental public figures that created the shit storm we're all living in. Teens and young adults used to not care about politics, because that's the default state of being, politics is boring, you're supposed to care at whatever point in your life you begin to care, for your own reason. Maher is one of the midwits pretending to be a bigwit, who began putting pressure on other midwits to pretend to know about things they know nothing about.

@derekbrown6161 a lot of people think they're libertarian, but really aren't. A pretty good test is just to simply ask them if they would extend the same liberties universally that they expect for themselves. If the answer is anything besides "yes", they're not libertarian.

I've always felt like most athletes are pretty conservative, at least with their personal values. You can't become one of the best in the world at a particular sport by demanding everyone else do the work for you, you HAVE to put in the work yourself. There's no other way. Leftists are allergic to work, they would spontaneously combust if they ever worked a day in their life.
