And they act like they have some kind of monopoly on progress, which couldn't be further from the truth. Progress exists within conservatism, in a rational and pragmatic way. Sometimes society does need to progress as we learn more about the world and advance with technology. But those times are rare, and usually occur slowly. So pretty much everything progressives want to change is manufactured, and actually worse than the way we already do things.

@totenkopf8814 political YouTubers tend to fall loosely into 2 categories, those who want to be first, and those who want to be accurate. Sean is pretty heavy on the 2nd category. It's a cruel industry, if you make a video 2 days later about something everyone and their cat has already done, you're not going to get as many views. But you can be more accurate and make more quality content that way. The best middle ground if you want to be first is just to be careful about making a distinction between what you know right now and what's speculation right now. And be prepared to make retractions later.

This is like when the Rays play the Redsox. I don't like the Rays, because they're usually a strong competitor to the Yankees, so them losing is definitely good for the Yankees, but I reallllllly don't like the Redsox. So I have to root for the Rays, just for that series.

@Prof_Bort_Yammy exactly, and that's why the far right is a tiny faction of fringe weirdos with no real influence on the majority of the American right wing, because normal conservatives and libertarians say "hey stupid, knock it off". The moderate left doesn't do that with their crazies, so their crazies are taking over the entirety of the left like a virus, except dumber than a virus through reasons that make no sense.
