I just can't imagine being consistently on the side of criminals, and still thinking I'm "on the right side of history." There's no way they genuinely believe that, I don't think there's ever been a time in history where it was more clear who the baddies are.

If they really think nobody's life is worth a petty theft, then they should stop killing people while committing petty thefts.

@Achonas which, ironically, is the exact same justification Nazis used for their actions. They thought they were fighting to reclaim their homeland. Which to be fair in their case, actually was kind of true, Germany was getting swallowed by communism, much like the US is now. That doesn't mean the Nazis were right, just because you're right to want to defend your homeland doesn't mean anything you do to achieve that is right. Scary times. History is truly repeating itself. Hopefully we find a more productive and less evil way to fight communists this time.
