I worked at McDonald's in my early 20s, this story doesn't surprise me at all. Those customers are out of their damn minds, I could write a book with the horror stories I have.

@NwoDispatcher it really was primarily the "diversity". Everyone knows it, even the black employees know it, it's an ongoing joke. A few of the more honest coworkers I had even confessed that they were specifically taught to be an asshole to restaurant employees when they were a kid, because if you can get them to be an asshole back to you, you can demand to get your order for free.

@johnree6106 there would still be more pickles where they came from. Just ignoring or picking off the pickles isn't enough, we need active measures to prevent more unwanted pickles in the future. A diversity of tactics is required.

@spankynater4242 we had an employee that got fired for trying to crawl through the drive-thru window to fight a customer that was being rude to her. The funniest part was she was a humongous girl, like WNBA sized. And you've seen the size of those windows. I don't know what in the hell her step 2 was in that plan, I just heard a bunch of screaming and saw this sasquatch woman with one leg and one arm through the window, screaming at the lady in her car and threatening her. And there was no chance in hell the other 80% of her was ever gonna fit through there.

@jtzoltan the struggle is real. Our culture has become so spoiled that we expect to get cheap food within 2 minutes and have everything right 100% of the time. I'm not saying it's hard to not put pickles on a sandwich, it really isn't. But people forget what a luxury it is to have low paid morons make food for you so you can sit on your fat ass and not have to do anything. If pickles are such a damn big deal to you, go home and make your own sandwich.
