I don't think Sean is wrong in any of his analysis, but I think an extremely big part of why there's such outrage, that seems so obvious but I don't see many people talking about, is the anecdote Dave shared about his friend. He actually shined a light on the elephant in the room that we all know, that the far left are the real bullies, the real violent faction, who hides behind identity to pretend like they're the victims. This probably sounds like beating a dead horse to most of the people watching this channel, but that's not so clearly visible to everyone, for someone like Dave, who has a huge platform of viewers from all over the political spectrum to come out and say that will probably kind of activate a light bulb that everyone has probably seen in one way or another, but may not want to speak out about because of the perception of them being bigoted in some way. Again, I know that sounds silly to most of us, but I'm thinking about the masses, the mostly apolitical normies. They've probably seen how aggressive the far left is towards non believers, but a mainstream voice acknowledging the same thing is a major shot fired in the direction of the far left movement.

I work at a kennel and there's this dog that loves fetch so much I can just swing my hand like I'm throwing a ball and she'll chase the imaginary ball. Every damn time. Even if I show her my hand before, completely empty, no ball, she still chases the imaginary ball. She just can't help herself, even when she knows it's a trick. That's how these lefty weirdos are when people call them out.

That's one of the only times I've seen the left come out in favor of free speech and free expression in the last several years. Just think on that one for a minute.

@matthewcaldwell8100 the actors in the movie were real kids, whether or not it's just a fictional movie, they were still really put into those situations for the filming.

@stevenoerlemans5414 Sam Seder made a video the other day about a Crowder segment where he said that a female reporter had "an aggressively Asian face", and as expected him and all of his idiot viewers were outraged. It's so blatantly obvious that Crowder is just going over the top on purpose, because he knows the left will freak out about it. And they just have to take the bait. They know it's bait. But they don't care.

@matthewcaldwell8100 if "kid diddling bad" is a message that anyone actually needs to hear, then they need more serious help than a movie can provide for them.

@sheldonfredericks8034 seriously, that argument is more of an indictment of the left's tribalism than any kind of hypocrisy shown by regular people. It just shows regular people can give credit where it's due even if they still don't generally agree with the person or entity they're giving credit to, I don't think many conservatives are saying "all is forgiven" to Netflix, I think I can speak for the majority of conservatives when I say Netflix still sucks. But they did the right thing in this one isolated incident. Which probably has more to do with their bottom line than actually taking a principled stance, but hey whatever, right is right.

@TheGentsAirsoft it really is, because a lot of people have trouble separating an individual from the group. I know that an individual trans person is not representative of the louder minority of psychos online, but not everyone gets that distinction, this whole far left idpol movement has done far more harm than good for every one of their "marginalized" communities they claim to champion, I suspect whenever it blows over that we're going to see a rise in actual bigotry, because people will see people who are just one of the former victim groups and think "oh, you're one of them"

@PonyFoot123 a lot of times it starts out as a joke to make fun of their absurdity, and then they actually unironically adopt it.
