@johns1625 the difference between an imminent threat and a potential threat is subjective. I consider someone who has just robbed a store to be a much more imminent threat that just any random person who may or may not have a gun. Maybe you don't think it's an imminent threat because he appeared to be leaving, ok, that's fair, but for you to use the example of someone just randomly brandishing a gun for no reason is extremely dishonest on your part. And you're aware of this too, you were just hoping nobody would notice. I noticed. Retract your statement and try again, or your opinion on this discussion is completely invalid.

At the risk of sounding petty, and honestly I don't care if I'm being petty, and I probably am, we've seen how the left blindly defends criminals, no matter how clear it is that they were 100% in the wrong. So I'm going to blindly defend people who are defending themselves from criminals, even if they are partially in the wrong. Sure, this criminal may have been attempting to flee, in a normal society I would say that the store employee was out of line, but we do not live in a normal society, we live in a society where criminals are defended and encouraged, and law enforcement does nothing about it. So if this sends a message to would be criminals, that you may get shot even if you're trying to run away, then I'm here for it. Someone has to stand up to this madness.
