  1. People mention chess and go as landmarks in neural net/machine learning, but seldom mention Google's Deep Dream, which for me was a fascinating implementation of this technology. The fact that you could instantiate a basic version on your own machine, including (if I remember correctly) porting all calculations via CUDA to your GPU. That was really fun, and that was when, 2015? I can't wait to see the future of this development. Thank you kindly for the overview, which was sorely needed!
