  1. I ran into that with my Nissan brakes - once you work on them yourself, you're on your own, even regular tepair shops might not work on them! But at least to me it's understandable: you risk life and limb if the brakes are repaired carelessly, so for insurance reasons many shops won't work on them if you've worked on them yourself! This however doesn't apply to phones - they aren't usually a risk to life & limb if they're fixed funny... ;*[}
