  1. I'm pretty sure the reason why he is doing this is because he is trying to get more voters to vote for him over other potential Republican presidential candidates in 2024. This is the same reason he attacked other Republicans running for president in 2016 such as Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio and it helped get him the nomination the first time so it makes sense he would do it again.
