  2. It also works the other way around sometimes. Nebraska is a state that seems boring to visit for most people but a lot of people who live there really enjoy it.

  5.  @monstersofthemidw100 You have clearly never been to Maine if you think it's boring or you have only been to Lewiston, Auburn, Augusta, Bangor or Waterville. Maine is a beautiful state and it's becoming more moderate and might be turning purple in the near future. Washington and Minnesota are great states outside of Seattle, Minneapolis and a few other places and Minnesota is turning purple as well.

  17. I disagree with a lot of the states on this list. My opinion on the states on this list: Iowa: Not sure if I would put it in the top 10 but still a great state. Rhode Island: Pretty average in my opinion. Not a terrible state but not one of the best. New York: Actually one of the worst states in my opinion. It has some nice rural areas but has a ton of problems. Minnesota: I agree this is one of the best states although mainly from a statistical standpoint. Not one of my personal favorites but a great place to live. Vermont: Vermont is a good state but I wouldn’t put it in the top 10. Wisconsin: This is a state that belongs in the top 10! All around great state. Weather is the only real downside. Connecticut: Yeah I don’t really get this one. It has some very very bad places and then it has a bunch of places most people can’t afford. Not my idea of a great state but everyone has their own taste. Hawaii: A lot of people love this state and I can see why. It’s a very beautiful state but I wouldn’t want to live there for many reasons including cost of living and isolation. Nebraska: Definitely a good choice for this list. It’s a really great state. New Hampshire: One of my very favorite states! It’s a great state in almost every single way. States I would have included instead of some of the ones you mentioned: North Carolina: Great state all around and I don’t have to explain why. You already know what makes it such a great state. Washington: High cost of living but otherwise an amazing state in just about every way. It also ranks as the best state to live in based on a variety of statistics according to U.S. News and World Report. Colorado: Similar to Washington. All around great state except for cost of living. Utah: One of my favorite states. It ranks 1st in economy and 3rd in overall quality of life according to U.S. news. It’s also very beautiful. Texas: Texas is an amazing state in so many ways from economy to cost of living to food and so much more. Idaho: Great state with very low crime, a good economy and very beautiful scenery. Quick honorable mentions: Virginia Florida The Dakotas Montana Wyoming Oregon Maine
