  5. Thank you. Myrtle Beach has terrible crime that they hide from tourists. I think it’s the state that does this because they hide the crime well in Charleston and Columbia too.

There should still be extensive background checks for everyone and there are good and bad people in every race, religion and nationality. For the most part we are there are just a few ignorant people. I will love America no matter what and it will always be my favorite country and it's the best country in my opinion. We have so may great things about our country. I can see where you're coming from but please just don't hate on the U.S. okay?

  35.  @absv444  I also do Google Maps street view a lot which gives me a good 360 view and feels kind of like I'm there. It still isn't quite the same though and most of the imagery on there takes place during the day and places change at night. It's definitely possible that Dallas is a lot nicer during the day but gets a lot worse at night.

They still have bad neighborhoods though. Also, I take back what I said about Houston. Houston is kind of a dump honestly but the other cities are great.

  51. This comment is inaccurate Texas does have some crime-ridden areas but most of it is nice and a good place to live. The major cities are great but just have some bad neighborhoods. El Paso is actually the safest city in the U.S. over 500K residents. Morgan's Point Resort is safer than 100 percent of the cities and towns in the U.S. with 0 crimes reported in 2018.

  63. ​ @rzta8209  Oh yeah Boston as a whole, Charleston, South Carolina, Idaho as a whole, Denver is doing very well and has gone through a lot of gentrification and Colorado as a whole currently has the best economy in the U.S. I am pretty sure Colorado Springs has been gentrified as well.

It may have some less favorable places but overall it's great and even the bad places in Texas (Houston, Laredo, Brownsville?) aren't that bad compared to Detroit and Saint Louis. It's the 2nd largest state in both area and population so naturally it's going to have some flaws areas but considering its size and everything that's great about Texas its a really great state.

  78. The worst looking areas look like what everyone associates with Detroit. The best looking areas actually look like upper middle-class suburbs and nothing like the rest of Detroit. It still doesn't make up for how bad Detroit is though and it's still a terrible city.

  107. This list is incomplete without St. Louis. Houston should be replaced with St. Louis and St. Louis should be #1 on the list. Also Chicago has some very bad hoods but it still has a lot of good things going for it. Same with New York City, Los Angeles and Washington, DC. I understand this is covering the hoods in these cities but Chicago doesn’t deserve the top spot because it has so much going for it. It has a great downtown and some of the best suburbs in the country. I don’t know for a fact but I bet it has some very nice neighborhoods in the north too. This would be my ranking of the worst cities in America based on my own research although to be fair I haven’t been to most of them: 10. Oakland, California 9. Atlanta, Georgia 8. Baton Rouge, Louisiana 7. Jackson, Mississippi 6. Memphis, Tennessee 5. Camden, New Jersey 4. Baltimore, Maryland 3. Detroit, Michigan 2. East Saint Louis, Illinois 1.
