@davidbouvier8895 yep and the people that talk about slavery in 2023 never mention that

This is awesome! The 80s-90s metal scene was great and I never thought it would go away. Thanks for uploading this

@Dyozef3 . The biggest problem with the race discussion is you can’t tell white people “you have to understand what it’s like to be black!” While saying “you’ll never understand what it’s like to be black!”.. you can’t have both lines of thought and expect progress to be made

@ariadarabi back in the 90s we had to call friends or god forbid go walk over to their house. Kids today just face time or zoom. Oh and I see much less kids outside today. It’s weird

Racism will always exist .. systemic racism has pretty much been completely eliminated though I agree.

Your statement isn’t wrong but sadly I don’t think we could ever have an open and honest conversation about this issue. I despise race and racism btw but it’s something that isn’t going away but in todays hyper PC climate you can’t really talk about it without the pitchforks coming out

Yep. I remember growing up in the 80s and 90s and we were always outside .. riding bikes, walking around with friends exploring etc .. it is bizarre as I don’t see that today. I rarely see kids riding bikes around or walking with friends or at the park - it will be a beautiful summer day and no kids are outside. It’s disturbing lol

@AsukasButler Malcolm x was an interesting guy - I bet he wouldn’t like what he’d see now if was still around ..

It feels like we’ve went backwards with the race issue ..

Be interesting to see what MLK jr and Malcolm x would think if they were still around..?

Racism has been Massively reduced compared to what it was in the 50s and 60s. Anyone that thinks differently is simply a fool .. I’m not sure how divided we truly are as social media amplifies it so much

The Satanic panic was very real in the 80s

In their 40s and it’s very hard to believe as I am One of those kids. The passage of time is insane

I cannot imagine being those soldiers fighting in the cold as hell Russian snow .. 20 below zero, it was too cold to pull down their pants to go to the bathroom .. all the while getting bombed by artillery .. awful

Isn’t it called epigenetics? It’s quite frightening to think that we can feel our ancestors anxiety though - how would one begin to go about treating this? If they have to observe not only your life but the lives of your ancestors - how do you pin point the cause of anxiety much less treat it?
1
Yeah I’m not the type to worry but the current young generation seems quite lost. A ton of anxiety, depression, suicide and drug use.

@joeblowporkhead864 the internet is great but social media is going to end up being a pretty large overall net negative .. I’m so glad I grew up without it

“Is this what life is supposed to be? Life is tough” I wonder this often. Many of us are born in terrible environments or are confronted with mental or physical disorders that greatly Impair our life. Some to such an extent that it makes daily life without reward. I honestly don’t have an answer to any of it. I’m not religious but see why some are - the atheist mindset isn’t too comforting either though
