@jacquelynn2051 yeah I’ve seen the bickering about who started rap and it’s between different black ethnic groups and Puerto Ricans and it gets vicious. I’m like oh man why argue about this stuff? All genres of music were a collaboration of different groups . That’s the beauty of it

@cgsather3309 BLM and their rhetoric really did not help the black community at all. Look at the drastic rise in shootings that occurred after 2020.. the entire “defund the police” narrative was bizarre

Yeah plus is it even possible to provide evidence of raps negative effects..? Granted it most likely has played a negative impact to some degree but how big of an impact ..?

@cinnamontownproductions9620 yeah a negative attitude on a man and lack of self confidence are huge repellents for women. He needs to start doing things to boost his self esteem .. I know a handful of guys that are close to middle age and they struggle big time with women - they are decent looking but they are either boring or have very low confidence .. women can sense this from miles away and it repels them

@justwatching4404 who called the shots then? I think some are too conspiracy minded on this issue and think the evil Jewish record producers forced rappers to write these lyrics. I’m like no - it just happens that the more violent and sexist lyrics sell much better. Positive song lyrics do not sell well to any young population.

@derek4412 good point. From What I see only one group or race strongly ties their skin color to their identity and it’s black people. There are whites that do it but it’s a tiny % of white nationalist types. They have no influence on society. I often hear about teens like ‘blackness’ and ‘whiteness’ and I still don’t know what they mean as their definition is very fuzzy

@AM-mp7ug what f do o you expect society to give to you?? our parents and grandparents didn’t sit around obsessing and complaining about this stuff - they either went out and worked or tried meeting women.. this notion that you deserve something great from society just for existing is absurd. You work and you get paid - just like every previous generation . Society isn’t going to coddle you and tell you that you are great

I’d have to believe that plays a role but also quite difficult to actually prove its detrimental effects . Where is the data on that? Same goes for rap and it’s supposed negative influence - very hard to find evidence to back it up

It’s so weird as I’m very physically fit and above average looking so women do notice me and I have good social skills but I just find the entire approach/small talk/flirt/date process to be mind numbing .. I don’t know what happened at birth but I’ve never really enjoyed doing that sort of thing. I am very introverted so I know that plays a role. I just see most guys complaining about being invisible yet they also put little work into being noticeable

But you are forgetting that most young men these days are too lazy or lethargic to mount much of a charge. I mean, if guys want to change the system so much why aren’t they getting more politically active? I see they are sitting around and complaining way too much ..

Yeah I work with a couple more conservative black men and they voice their frustration with not finding women that share their values

Clarey is way too pessimistic though. I can tell he’s always struggled with attracting decent women. In my experience women love and crave traditionally masculine men just as men crave and love feminine women.. so Much of Clareys content just fuels the dumb gender war

@tam1641 . If you polled whites you’d see that their skin color is not that meaningful to them. At all. Whites do not sit around and hyper focus on race and you really do not want them to start doing that. I don’t know a single white prison that thinks their skin color is a big part of their identity. And I’ve lived in the south for a bit

@SimoneandMalcolm exactly what I wonder too - I don’t know what these guys want us to tell them? Just give up because there is little hope for them? I honestly think we have obsessed too much about male and female gender roles and dating dynamics to the point where a good chunk of each sex is just giving up because they realize the odds of them finding someone compatible is very slim .. I have no idea what to tell 22 year old guys that play videogames all day yet complain about not being able to attract women .. many are not even putting in any effort to do so.. never in my life did I think a generation of men would try their hardest to justify not talking to women

@FulgurInteritum agree that’s the best option. If men are u happy with current system then they must get active politically in changing it.. thats what feminists did decades ago and they have been very successful There is a lethargy in young men Today that scares me though .

@txdmsk I’m a guy that’s not can confidently say I’m a 7.5 in terms of looks.. I’m very physically fit and I get approached occasionally by women when I Go out .. that said, on dating apps it was rough - I’d get matches but they were with women that I’d most likely never bother talking to in everyday life. Thing is, I found myself having to put real effort into just making those work out(in terms of dating and hooking up) .. the women I was attracted to on there didn’t respond .. so the dating app entitlement is definitely real hence why I urge guys to not use them! Work on social skills and get out there and talk to women - try and be upbeat and fun . I wince when I see more guys isolating and only using online sources to their social needs
