Yeah therapy and medication just helped me cope better - I still Force myself through most days .. hard daily exercise helps . I’d never dare risk having a child and Passing this onto them . Nope

Yep. I’ve cut friends out of my Life because it’s just exhausting having to be social while also explaining to them why you don’t like doing much . After a point you just don’t have the energy for either so you isolate. I cannot for the life of me imagine going into old age either this disorder - I want no part of that

Right now is a much better time to get diagnosed than 20 years ago but I still find things to be quite messy in terms of diagnosis, treatment and medications . It’s a crap shoot . I can’t imagine how things were for our ancestors - talk about in the dark and hopeless

@drottercat yeah dysthymia doesn’t necessarily Make you Suicidal but more it just robs your enthusiasm and energy. Over time it destroys your identity
