Yeah the Rocks situation is ridiculous. When he was in his 20s and early 30s he was big but not lean yet when he gets into his late 40s and 50s he is not only bigger than he’s ever been but much leaner! So yeah it’s obvious what he’s doing and I definitely get urges to jump on TRT(but higher than baseline doses) when I see guys like him

@mateaukalua4426 rock looks amazing as a 52 year old. Cmon man

I realized after a few decades in the gym that the really huge and muscular guys you see in the gym have some degree of body dysmorphia .

I’m much more disturbed at the rate of obesity than I am PEDs. Every time I go out I see over half of people are overweight or obese
6
Great point. I admit I get urges to use gear when I look at social media but then I go shopping and rarely if ever see a guy that’s just in decent shape. Obesity is an epidemic out there

@geechie-don7157 lol at making This about race - that’s all many of you think about.

@MrBl3ki yep, pre-workout like caffeine and creatine is all a lifter needs. Oh and eat a decent amount of protein and you will grow
4
@rae6555 yeah I agree. There are guys that don’t put hard work in and just assume that everyone that is big and strong takes steroids .. umm it’s nonsense
3
I don’t blame anyone for selling supplements considering all the jackasses that still line up and buy this crap. I’ve lifted for decades and still think the only supplement people need is creatine .. just lift hard and eat protein and you’ll grow . It kills me that guys waste so much money on things that really don’t produce noticeable results
3
I don’t see these standards ever going away though. I’m not even sure how that would be achieved - do we put fat guys on the cover of men’s health magazine? That won’t work
2
Yeah I have built a pretty strong hood frame but when I go onto instagram Or YouTube and see these guys that are jacked and shredded year round I get very tempted to use gear.
2
@vkak1 that’s what most people lack though - the determination to follow a program long term all the while seeing slow results. It’s astonishing what many grown men think can be done in terms of building Muscle. They truly think they can get ‘newbie gains’ every year they train lol
2
So the guy at the end bought a pre-workout formula that was 60% bleach? Oh man . Buyer beware indeed
2
Nah it’s usually genetics and gear.. coming in third is hard work. If you don’t have somewhat decent genetics then you are fucked . I have a good friend that has terrible genetics and I feel for him
1
I hear you but how old are you and how long have you been lifting? It gets much harder to maintain your outlook after you’ve been hitting the weights for years and growth has largely Stalled.

@t_c5266 . But steroids are not the killer drugs you think they are.
1
@sanjayr trye but let’s face facts - most people do not have the grit or determination to hit the gym and eat right for a long enough time to where they can build a nice strong lean body. They don’t want to put in 7-8 years of daily training for what seems to be just decent results .. so they either hit the gear or stop working out. Tbh I get it . Then you have guys with shitty genetics - I feel for them as they are in a tough spot
1
@playaaaLV hmm when Efron was in his best shape, the vast majority of people could not achieve that without drugs.
1
@rainchopper898 oh everyone on that beach cares how they look. Granted there are different Degrees of caring though.
1
@robmarsh918 but as a depressed person, it does help when I inject a dose of perspective! When I feel a bit depressed about my body or my job - I then realize there are many people out there that have much more difficult lives and they chalk it up . To say this doesn’t work is just writing . Now it isn’t a cure for everyone’s depression but it has helped mine in the past
1
@stopplzs I’ve worked out long enough to recognize that creatine is the only effective supplement that someone needs to take.. all of the other “anabolic boosters” are trash and a waste of money. Creatine at least produces noticeable results

@sergeanttentacles1359 . “Perfect physique been so achievable naturally” 🤔🤔
