This is when the ufc was magical - you truly had fighters from many different styles. It was like Street Fighter but in a cage. Royce and his family were and are legends and I remember the mystique they had back then

In all fairness OMalley is a much different style than Volk .. bad comparison.. that said Volk is a straight killer and he would smash Sterling and O Mslley on the same night 🤣🤣

I miss the early days of mma when the Gracie family and bjj had a mystique . Nowadays everyone knows everything so the magic is gone

Damn I really miss the Pride Grand Prix tournaments! They were stacked and I’m not sure how they managed it but injuries did not plague these events at all. I wish ufc would try a few smaller tournaments as it would add a bit of excitement

@JyroOne Kayla is not slow nor does she have small gas tank. She has a pretty explosive takedown and she carries a lot of muscle and that eats up cardio pretty quickly . She’s a great fighter and is only improving

Agree I want to see Bo turn into a phenom but his game is very uneven right now. He needs more tools after he gets his opt down but he’ll work On them

Kayla is very good and I’m glad she’s in the ufc as the women’s division really needs her

@eh5872 Ken was a great fighter but he never accomplished as much as he should have in the octagon. He never won a tournament and the “super fights” he was in were dreadful for the most part

@eduardowood8502 yeah I think the same way. I think Kayla Harrison is a great addition to the ufc - she can breathe some much needed life into women’s mma .. she is extremely skilled and athletic and I really don’t get why guys like bashing her.. mma fans are very critical

I’m fine with women fighting mma but there just aren’t enough elite female fighters to Make for enough compelling fights. There are way too many women with low skill level and nothing that makes them stand apart from the others . I’d have thought by this time we’d see many more Nunes, Royaey and Harrison types
