  1. Apple II has a bottleneck and its Commodore Semiconductor Group (MOS Technology)'s crap 65xx CPU R&D map. Acorn replaced Commodore's 65xx CPU family with the ARM CPU. Commodore Semiconductor Group's 65xx CPU R&D couldn't keep up with Intel 286 and 386 road map.

  2.  @cryptocsguy9282  65816 was developed by WDC. Acorn Communicator's 65816's clock speed is 2 Mhz. PC 80286 was running at higher clock speed with MMU, and running Xenix for business. WDC 65C816 was released in 1985 when 32-bit 80386 was also released. 68000-based Apple Mac, Commodore-Amiga 1000, and Atari ST were also released. 65C816 is too late.
