  13.  keith moore  Germans haven't built over 4000-ton displacement submarine. Germany's latest Type 218 is only 2,200 tonnes submerged. Both Barracuda and Shortfin Barracuda submarine classes are over 4000 tonnes submerged. The existing Collins-class submarine has 3,407 tonnes submerged.

It took the US defense industry to fix this issue i.e. installed external shaping devices to fix this issue. The French already has 4700 tons submerged submarine with suitable submarine shaping for its size.
