@johnlo5687 Wrong with "business is business". http://archive.is/vNDW0 China’s protectionism comes home to roost. Archived copy article from ft.com https://graphitepublications.com/will-chinas-outrageous-rare-earth-monopoly-persist/ China's rare earth near-monopoly was built on SOE (state-own enterprise) which driven private competitors from the market. Rare earth is important for electronics component production logistics chain. https://www.forbes.com/sites/douglasbulloch/2016/10/12/protectionism-may-be-rising-around-the-world-but-in-china-it-never-went-away/#5dc3f5df73da Protectionism May Be Rising Around The World, But In China It Never Went Away https://www.afr.com/brand/chanticleer/chinese-tech-stocks-pose-an-investment-dilemma-20180815-h1410o Baidu became China's No.1 search engine partly because Google was outlawed. Tencent became the world's largest gaming company and owner of China's No.1 messaging system without needing to compete with Facebook's WhatsApp. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/03/20/business/economy/china-us-trade-tariffs.html For example, an American car going to China pays 25% import duty, but a Chinese car coming to the US only pays 2.5%, a tenfold difference. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) March 8, 2018 From Musk's March 8th, 2018, China already has 25 percent import duty on US made cars before Trump's response. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2018/07/12/reciprocity_is_the_method_to_trumps_madness_137496.html Reciprocity Is the Method to Trump's Madness Trump wanted trade reciprocity against China! If Trump executes His trade reciprocity against China, there would be two "Chinese characteristics" protectionist nations clashing with each other. EU is no better with its protectionist policies e.g. the gap between hard Brexit vs being an EU member state.

@johnlo5687 Wrong, well-known western brands partner with Taiwanese ODMs which then operates in China e.g. Apple's Taiwanese Foxconn ODM partner with extensive operations in China, hence the leakage. There's a question mark with Taiwanese ODMs besides CCP's rare earth protection racket.

@johnlo5687 US owes about 1.3 trillion to China. Most US government debt is owed by US pension funds. http://nationalinterest.org/blog/the-buzz/scary-statistic-chinas-debt-gdp-ratio-reached-257-percent-22824 According to the Bank for International Settlements, China’s debt to GDP ratio reached 257 percent in 2017, higher than the United States’ 152 per cent China has a bad US debt addiction copy. There's nothing magical about China's rise to power... it's US-style debt addiction done badly. https://web.archive.org/web/20180827151002/https://www.willistowerswatson.com/-/media/WTW/Images/Press/2018/01/Global-Pension-Asset-Study-2018-Japan.pdf Nanny state forced savings(aka pension funds) vs GDP ratio Australia: 138.4 percent US: 131.2 percent UK: 121.3 percent Canada: 107.8 percent ... Japan: 62.5 percent Germany: 12.9 percent China: 1.5 percent

@johnlo5687 1. US owes about $1.3 trillion to China NOT "trillions". You're wrong with US owes trillions to China. 2. COVID-19 is also known as SARS-COV-2. China didn't learn from SARS in 2002/2003. SARS-COV-2 originated in China. Deal with it.

@yorkieelliot2487 I don't buy Huawei, but you have certain major Australian ISP issuing Huawei VDSL modems for NBN. I asked for VOIP settings from the ISP and they refuse to give it to me, hence I'm stuck with Huawei VDSL modem for a few years. After increasing my NBN bandwidth, Huawei VDSL modem was replaced with D-Link VDSL modem.

@bretloyd8097 Why include another issue from Indonesia (Bali) with China? Fuckoff.

@bretloyd8097 https://www.smh.com.au/national/second-developer-flies-82-tonnes-of-medical-supplies-to-china-20200326-p54e8n.html These companies are proxies for CCP government. CCP back companies in Australia shipped medical supplies to China i.e. CCP's "China 1st" It's a Russian style "little green" style operation. https://www.smh.com.au/national/former-chinese-military-man-behind-export-of-tonnes-of-medical-supplies-20200330-p54f8a.html A former Chinese military officer worked with Chinese Communist Party agencies and a group with links to organised crime to export tonnes of Australian medical supplies to Wuhan at the height of the coronavirus epidemic there ----- https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-01/coronavirus-chinese-ppe-border-force-intercepted/12085908 Australia seizes faulty coronavirus protective equipment imported from China YOU FUCK OFF. 2
@bretloyd8097 Reminder, 1. WHO is against travel restrictions on the 11th of Jan 2020. 2. WHO has claimed no clear evidence of human-to-human transmission on the 14th of Jan, 2020. WHO = China 1st Blaming the Australian government for CCP virus amounts to your "China 1st" mindset.
2
@bretloyd8097 Slomo followed WHO's guidelines. WHO = "China 1st". Your "happiness in China" argument shows your "China 1st" bullshit.
