That's a bit stupid when the COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca Oxford is based on weakened cold common cold with COVID-19's spike protein. This method trains the immune system to fight the real COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2) virus by targeting the spike protein. This vaccine method is not new. There are other COVID-19 vaccines.

@Sonia Reynolds SARS-CoV incident has occurred in the year 2002 which is before setting up the Wuhan lab. COVID-19 is also known as SARS-CoV-2 for a reason.

AstraZeneca Oxford is based on existing seasonal flu vaccines e.g. take COVID-19's spike protein and merge it's with the weakened common cold virus (known as an adenovirus). The immune system is then trained to fight the real COVID-19 by targeting its spike protein. The technology is not new.

@freightliner_86 I don't have an allergic reaction to chicken eggs. I eat at least one boil/fried/scrambled egg a day. Scrambled egg is my favorites when I add spaghetti sauce and cheese.. I'm not a vegan.
