Tesla's Model 3 non-long range model induction electric motors doesn't have permanent magnets. There's a no brainer to why Tesla can mass-produce EVs when it sticks with common metals and minimize less-common metals. 2. Australia is rich with Aluminum, Nickel, Graphite (refine coal), Lithium, Cobalt and Silicon (refine sand). It's about $2 billion USD cost for Tesla's and GM's new "Giga" class factories.
